Is studying in SIM - RMIT (in singapore) or University of Melbourne (in australia) better for Accountancy?

Doing the degree in Australia is definitely the better choice. Employers in Singapore (especially government sectors) are still slow to recognise distance-learning degrees (eg. SIM-RMIT). In addition, University of Melbourne is generally considered a university of higher standing than RMIT (U of Melbourne is one of the G8)



If you do your degree overseas, it also lets you experience another culture and learn to be more independent. It also allows you to explore career opportunities in the country once you graduate. Lastly, it gives you a better chance of getting Australian permanent residency should you decide to emigrate.Is studying in SIM - RMIT (in singapore) or University of Melbourne (in australia) better for Accountancy?

It has the same quality and recognition. However, if you do have enough funds to study overseas, then do it in Australia. The reason is that you will learn to live independently and work your way through different culture which will benefit you when you join the workforce and the employer will something positive that not many local graduates have.
