You should play rock paper scissors with the Grim Reaper to resurrect your Sim.
Or, since you have the University expansion pack, you can call the Grim Reaper to resurrect any Sim in the neighborhood with the Resurrect-O-Nomitron. You have to be in the Paranormal Career. This object is a Career Rewards object.
The catch is you have to pay A LOT of Simoleans to guarantee you will get your Sim back in good shape (and not a Zombie). Happy Simming ^_^
