In the Sims 2, how do you revive a dead Sim? Also, I do NOT have the University expansion pack.?

I really need to revive a Sim that died in a fire.. However, I can't use the things from the University expansion pack. I really hope there's a way!In the Sims 2, how do you revive a dead Sim? Also, I do NOT have the University expansion pack.?
when someone just got killed and you see the grim reaper click on him and say plead for loved one and he'll put a soul behind his back and your sim has to guess which hand it's in.
