When i install sim 2 university it stops at lot 39 and it keeps doin it every time i try wat can i do? plz plz

I use to use the sims 2 on XP...and no major problems...and when I switched to Vista...nothing but problems...I don't know if it is my computer in general or Vista. One thing that did help was if you have the shortcut icon on your desk top right click on it go down to properties. After you are in properties go to compatibility make sure there is a check mark in run this program in compatibilty mode for:


and then in the drop down menu choose windows XP service pack 2. At the bottom of the box choose run as administrator. Click apply and then go try your game. If this doesn't help I don't know what will.
