I have been playing a single sim in the game Sims 2 university. I moved into a greek house and found out that I had to play all the other members of the greek society as well! I have the game The Sims 2, and I just recently installed The Sims 2 University. There is a problem, though. When I installed University, it made my sims unable to sit together. For selfmade sims, change their hair by the mirror (click Change Appearance), and for clothes buy them a wardrobe. you need to buy them clothes from a clothes shop first though, like H%26amp;M or one from Nightlife.
Or for Townie Sims, you can change them the same way as selfmade sims but you need to be controlling them first.
Use this cheat:

i've recently started using sims 2 university.
my sim graduated with an arts degree, now he's moved back into the neighbourhood but i don't know how to get him a job in the arts... all the jobs in the paper seem to be the normal sims 2 games, there doesn't seem to be any new jobs.
how do i go about this?

Hmmmm. If you have university there should be four new careers available...Artist, Natural Scientist, Show Business and Paranormal. If your Sim has an Arts degree he should get a job in the Artist, Culinary, or Slacker careers.
If you have spent a couple of days checking jobs in the paper and on the computer and none of the new careers shows up (sometimes it does take a few days for all the careers to be rotated) you might want to consider using a modding tool such as the Insimenator which has a section called the career adjuster which you can use to get your sim his/her job of choice.http://www.insimenator.net/ It's free to download but you must register first. A few notes on the career adjuster option and what it can allow you to do:

Have you tried that and they are not showing up? If you have then I would just wait and keep trying every day. If you don't have a computer and can't afford to get one then you will either need to use a money cheat (kaching will give you only $1,000 or motherlode will give you $50,000) or just have your sim get any job until you can afford to buy a computer then have him/her start looking for one of the college jobs on the computer everyday before or after work.
You might want to think about turning the aging off until you get your sim in the career that you want and have them work their way up the career ladder a little ways though. I always do that because their life span as an adult is just way to short in my opinion. Hi, i have 2 options left in my hand one is to either go for Singapore institute of management where i intend to do the BSc Banking and finance course offered by london university and london school of economics but initially i have to do diploma in management offered by SIM(october intake). My second option is Singapore Management University, i intend to do BSc finance/BSc business/BA(Accountancy) offered by SMU(January intake). My friend is currently glaring daggers at my computer, she's playing The Sims 2 University and "she finally got into the sorority and she found out that joining the sorority meant that she also joined the household, so now, she also has to control the other people in the sorority." Well, she hates the fact that she has to "multitask all the Sims and she only wants to control only one sim."
So now, I was just wondering if anyone knows a cheat, a hint, a strategy, or something to do so that my friend will only need to control one sim but still has the free will off?

I actually have sims 3, so i may not be of any help. But to add people you could get married, have kids, adopt a kid, or if you want to create your own person I would completely delete that family, and try to make an identical one but add the people you want. I have Sims 2 University, and I had my teenage Sim fall in love with who I thought was a college student Sim, but when she went to college, I found out he was still a teenager. He's one of those pre-made Sims that don't live in any houses on the map, so I was wondering if there's a way to somehow get him to grow up.

A SURE way to make your sims have twins:
make the sim pregnant
then open the cheat window (ctrl+Shift+C)
then enter forcetwins (just like that, no space)
let the pregnancy go on and she should have twins!

If you have a sim that is a college grad, they can get the paranormal career and use the Resurrect-o-nomitron career reward to call the Grim Reaper then pay him lots of simoleans (close to 10K) to let the other Sim live again. If you don't pay enough, your sim comes back as a zombie.

Or, since you have the University expansion pack, you can call the Grim Reaper to resurrect any Sim in the neighborhood with the Resurrect-O-Nomitron. You have to be in the Paranormal Career. This object is a Career Rewards object.

Doing the degree in Australia is definitely the better choice. Employers in Singapore (especially government sectors) are still slow to recognise distance-learning degrees (eg. SIM-RMIT). In addition, University of Melbourne is generally considered a university of higher standing than RMIT (U of Melbourne is one of the G8)
If you do your degree overseas, it also lets you experience another culture and learn to be more independent. It also allows you to explore career opportunities in the country once you graduate. Just have them raise their levels in whatever the classes require, than do term paper, let them have some fun, then go to their classes, and have them do between three to four assignments. If you mean how do you make it go faster and get them out of there, then you can't. You just have to click on the phone and choose college and then when they call, choose Registrar - drop out and they will be done with college.

No. The degree only goes towards the careers (in the paper) that the sim's major was a part of. It would have been a nice feature of them to add, though.

In the sims 2 University, you send your teenage sims to college. As soon as they get there, they turn into Young Adults. You have them go to class (you DO NOT go with them though) and you have them do group research and term papers. But, you get a drum set, a bass guitar and a regular guitar and they can form groups and Perform music. They can do "Freestyle" which is like they are rapping. You have a bubble blower, which looks like a bong with a bunch of mouth pieces and they all really love that, lol! There are dorms you can be in and you can also have your sim join a greek house. If they make friends with 3 members of the Secret Society, they will get 'kidnapped' and taken to the Secret Society to be initiated as a member. There is a cow plant that can eat sims and then after a while, they can be milked and the milk adds days to your sims life. They can become big man or woman on campus. They can hack into their grades, call the grim reaper and bring back a dead sim as a normal sim or as a zombie sim. There is a counterfeit machine and also a plastic surgery machine.
They get 2 new wants and one more lock for a total of 6 wants slots and 2 locks to lock wants and/or fears. They get 4 new careers that can only be accessed by a graduate student. Oh, and there are pillow fights and college sims can also woohoo -- but they can't try for baby.
In seasons -- that's the best ep outside of Nightlife in my opinion. You get weather -- rain, sleet, hail, snow, hot days. Thunder and lightning! They can fish and make different foods using the fish. They can grow fruits and vegetables. There are snow days where the kids get to stay home. Snowball fights, making snow angels and snowmen. There is tossing a ball. It's just a really fun game. There is a juicer and you can make lots of different kinds of juice. Apple juice makes them learn faster. Orange/lemon adds a badge point (I think, I can't remember for sure) and other juices do other things. In the fall, all sims learn much faster (so if you are playing Uni and have Seasons, if you make it fall, they learn a lot quicker and fill their class meter up quicker).

So my Young Adult sim has graduated university. It now says, where the semester time was, "Moving off campus" or someting to that effect. That time bar is finished, yet they still haven't moved. So when I put them in the family bin, and go to a normal neighbourhood, they don't show up, because they are still students. I use to use the sims 2 on XP...and no major problems...and when I switched to Vista...nothing but problems...I don't know if it is my computer in general or Vista. One thing that did help was if you have the shortcut icon on your desk top right click on it go down to properties. After you are in properties go to compatibility make sure there is a check mark in run this program in compatibilty mode for:
and then in the drop down menu choose windows XP service pack 2. At the bottom of the box choose run as administrator. Click apply and then go try your game. If this doesn't help I don't know what will.

Can i make a Sim come back to life from a ghost on Sims 2 without buying the University expansion pack?
Yes you can plead with death who will appear on the road out side your house or on the borders of your property, if pleading doesn't work you can gamble with him, you have a fiddle contest, and I have found that those with higher creativity do better.
Both of these are not guaranteed and require having a living sim left in the house, if there are no other household members or if they fail then unfortunately then you will need to let your poor departed sim rest in peace

The Sims 2 University: Why won't my Sim go to class?
Whenever my Sim is supposed to go to class, the action disappears from the queue, and she won't go. What may I have done to cause this, and is it fixable?
Side notes: The dorm is custom-built (through changelotzoning cheat), and I have occasionally used the moveobjects cheat. I sent my sim to class and then i accidentally crossed out the class option now its hours past when she was supposed to come back and she still hasn't! I exited to the neighborhood and got back on but she was still gone then i tried to teleport her to the mailbox using boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true and all i got was the little diamond thingy where she was supposed to show up! If you haven't unistalled the game yet, try this:
Open the cheat bar.
Type in "sethour [time]" without the quotes. In place of [xx], type the hour one hour before she is supposed to get out of class. (It's military time).
That sounds confusing, so here's an example. Say my Sim comes back at 9pm. I'd type "sethour 20" and hit enter (remember, military time! 24 hours clock). Then fast forward an hour and see if she comes back. I set it an hour before because it works better for the clock to run up to the time instead of suddenly jumping to it. It's always worked for me to get my sims back. I've also waited until their final exam was in process and then fast forwarded until they got back from it.
The time change is the only thing I can think of when making a Sim come back from work or school. If not, I don't know what to tell you.
P.S. you don't have to put zeros in front the low numbers. Setting it to 7 in the morning can just be "sethour 7".Sims 2 University (PC); My sim won't come home from class!?

I have read that you need 3 friends from the secret society member...and i BELIEVE that i have done that. So how come my sim is not becoming a secret society member....there is NO limo coming to get my sim...so i dunno....

Please help me. I'm really frustrated. I've just installed The Sim 2 University ep onto my computer.?
The install goes just fine. I insert disc 1 then insert disc 2. Then the system says to re-insert disc 1. When I insert disc 1 again I get the white box that says The Sims 2 University. Then that screen goes away. Then a box pops up asking me what would I like to do(Open the readme file, launch or quit). I select the launch option. Once again I get the white box that says The Sims 2 University. My computer hums then pauses. The box goes away and about 15 seconds later I get and error box that says 'you are running the wrong version of The Sims 2. Please run The Sims 2 Deluxe instead.Please help me. When you first move them into a house or dorm it will run through a cinematic where the taxi drops them off as a teen and they spin to a young adult. Once the taxi pulls off the lot the buttons should work.
If they still don't work, exit the lot (you might have to ctrl alt delete out of the game) and try placing them on another lot. I had a lot that was bugged this way but the sims worked fine on a different lot. If a different lot doesn't work try adding another college to your neighborhood and try there. How can I get back to the university on The Sims 2 University, from the main neighborhood?
I'm playing the Sims 2 with the University expansion pack. I already have a sim in a university and saved the game before exiting, but I can't figure out how to get back to the university and continue playing with that sim, without making a whole new sim to send there. I can find how to get to the main neighborhood from the main menu, but dont see any option to going to the university neighborhood.How can I get back to the university on The Sims 2 University, from the main neighborhood?

You will get a pop-up with a large picture(s) of that neighbourhood, underneath that picture you will see a small icon (or more depending on how many EP's you installed). Then click the university icon and choose which University you want to play.
Or when you are already at the correct neighbourhood, and are looking at the main page of that neighbourhood, go to the top menu and choose the University Icon.

My experience with the university. Generally, grads from there have little or lousy job opportunities. Its not recognised as a university overseas as its not a full university. Its more like a learning centre offering degrees.
Actually, people who go there have no choice or other places to go and they are not rich enough to go overseas.

SIM does not confer its own degrees. It only offers distance-learning.

A very good way to find out is simply is to use the "time travel" technique.
Pretend its already 3 years later. you got the Degree you wanted.
So now at the present.. you actually send out fake resumes stating that you have a degree from SIM .. then see how many interviews you would get..

My experience with the university. Generally, grads from there have little or lousy job opportunities. Its not recognised as a university overseas as its not a full university. Its more like a learning centre offering degrees.
Actually, people who go there have no choice or other places to go and they are not rich enough to go overseas.

A very good way to find out is simply is to use the "time travel" technique.

So now at the present.. you actually send out fake resumes stating that you have a degree from SIM .. then see how many interviews you would get..

While playing the game, press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C to display the console window. Enter "boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true" to activate testing cheats mode. This is a very powerful cheat that enables many new things. In Create A Sim, after enabling this code, go into debugmode by pressing [Shift] + N before making a Sim. You now have the following new things in Create A Sim: skin tones, clothing, and some other options such as viewing the skinfilenames. Can I build an apartment at a Sims 2 University?
I have all but the Glamor Life expansion for Sims 2. I would like to put down an apartment in Sim State University. I couldn't find the standard apartments so I spent all day building one. I just got the Sims 2 University, and I want to send my teenage sim to Sim State University. So I told her to go to the phone and selected "move to college". I was told I had to choose a college by going to the choose college icon in the top left corner of the neighborhood screen. I already had some people living in the dorm I wanted to put my sim in. I added in my sim and now she's not at the house (obviously) and when I try to play the dorm I'm only in build mode, story mode, and options. But I can't play in live mode or buy mode. My sim disappeared after moving into a Greek house. I checked both her old dorm and her Greek house, but she's not in either. However, she seems to have been added to Greek household because her friends were added to the friends count, even though her picture doesn't appear on the household members list. Odd.

All you have to do is click on the phone, select 'Campos directories', or 'College' and there will be something saying 'Drop out'. Click that and it will say how you can't come back after you have left, are you sure you want to drop out? Select yes and you have now got a taxi coming to pick you up and take you home. You will automatically age and enter the sim bin.
I'm not sure if you can just drop out, but I know that if you fail 2 consecutive semesters, you're expelled, at which point your sim will age up to an adult and move back to the main neighborhood. All you have to do is click on the phone, select 'Campos directories', or 'College' and there will be something saying 'Drop out'. Click that and it will say how you can't come back after you have left, are you sure you want to drop out? Select yes and you have now got a taxi coming to pick you up and take you home. You will automatically age and enter the sim bin.
I'm not sure if you can just drop out, but I know that if you fail 2 consecutive semesters, you're expelled, at which point your sim will age up to an adult and move back to the main neighborhood. You can continue to play the sim, but you don't receive any additional college benefits past what they've already acheived (i.e. 5 wants, 2 want/fear locks, higher salary, ect.)On the sims 2 university how do you get a sim to drop out of college?

(you must be in neighborhood view to do this. type in ctrl+shift+C to open teh cheat window box)
Now you can go back into the dorm or lot or whatever and drag her hunger and energy all the way down. It's a slow, painful death, but it works!
Oh, and before you keep playing, type in ctrl+shift+C and type in teh cheat boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false

Have her meet 3 of the secret society members (black blazer with white llama can be found on community lots)
When they kidnap her to the secret society remove part of the fence surrounding the cow plant and have her eat the cake when it appears.
